If we observe the world we will come to know that intelligence is found in
many forms. Everyone has something unique in themselves, we just need to
figure that out. Every child is special and capable, they simply need
acceptance, a bit of understanding and someone who can push them towards their
strength and uniqueness.
Intelligence can be found in many diverse forms, be it a child able to prove
his/her intellect in practical approaches or an adult able to run a company in
the best way possible. While an adult has some time to grow and reflect
upon the teachings from his/her childhood till adulthood, the intellect that
a child possesses is the purest form of intelligence in its own way. Earlier in
life, a child is looked upon and is appreciated by their parents.
In accordance, there may a distinct style of learning that may suit a
particular child, which substantiates our point that every child is special and
capable in its own way. The premise here is the child moved forward towards
his or her interests without being digressed towards other ways.
CORAL DWECK
A Stanford researcher studied preservation and motivation and found thatstudents can be categorized into two categories:
- The one with the growth mindset:
Those who believe that their success is the result of their hard work. Children with a growth mindset see intelligence as something very diverse. The more learning is done, the smarter the person will be.
- The one with a fixed mindset:
Those who work with the tendency to only look smarter and therefore they have a tendency of avoiding the challenges, see effort as fruitless or worse, give up easily, ignore useful suggestions, jealous or threatened by the success of others. As a result, they do and achieve less according to their real potential.
When it comes to marks, some kids are unable to score well in exams that’s doesn’t mean they can't lead a successful life, many types of research have proved that many students who don't score well in exams have more intellectual level than the one who scored highest. This proves that intelligence can’t be measured in numbers. We should find out that one strength through which a child can achieve happiness and not only success.
Let’s take the example of Albert Einstein, it is said that Albert Einstein had dyslexia which is a learning disability still he is among the world's greatest scientists. Hence my point is proven that EVERY CHILD IS CAPABLE AND UNIQUE IN ITS OWN WAY. No one can stop them from touching the heights. EVERY KID SIMPLY NEEDS ONE CHANCE AND THEY CAN DO WONDERS AND EVEN BETTER THAN THE NORMAL.
